Verba-verba berubah bunyi (les verbes changent les sons)

Infinitif yaitu verba yang belum mendapat imbuhan. Jika akhiran kata kerja ini dihilangkan, maka tinggallah apa yang dikenal dengan akar verba. Dari ke 4 golongan verba yang telah kita pelajari, hadir pula verba-verba dengan e yang tidak bersuara, sehingga diucapkan seperti appeler [aplee] – memanggil; jeter [zytee] – melempar; dan peser [pzee] – menimbang.

Remarque

Verba jeter (zyetee), suku kata terakhir mengandung e yang tidak bersuara. Pada peser, acheter, appeler, mener, terlihat ada suku kata er diawali e yang tidak bersuara. Agar e terjaga tetap bersuara, e yang pertama harus diubah. Passé composé jeter: j’ai jété; j’ai espéré.

Verba-verba dengan – yer (les verbes ont le mot – yer)

Infinitif dengan akhiran – yer, huruf y dalam verba-verba tersebut mengalami perubahan jadi ie di depan sebuah e ‘bisu’. Misalnya pada verba: employer (memakai, menggunakan) dan payer (membayar).

employer - menggunakan	payer – membayar
J’emploie – saya menggunakan dst. tu emploies il/elle emploie nous employons vous employez ils/elles emploient	Je paie/paye – aku membayar dst. tu paies il/elle paie nous payons vous payez ils/elles paient/payent

Dalam praktik percakapan, verba - eyer mempunyai 2 macam bentuk konyugasi. Hal ini hanya berlaku pada orang pertama tunggal dan orang ketiga jamak:

Je paye/paie - saya membayar

ils/elles payent/paient - mereka membayar

Present du subjonctif

Subjonctif berhubungan dengan 2 macam waktu dalam setiap verba, yakni waktu kini (présent du subjonctif) dan waktu lampau (imparfait du subjonctif). Untuk membuat kalimat dalam bentuk présent du subjonctif dilakukan dengan cara mengambil atau memotong – nt dari pelaku orang ketiga jamak bentuk présent de l’indicatif. Kemudian sisanya inilah yang merupakan orang pertama tunggal pada bentuk subjonctif.

Contoh: Ils craigne-nt, orang ketiga jamak présent (infinitif: craindre - takut) menjadi: que je craigne, yaitu orang pertama subj.). Dengan menambah akhiran ( -e, -es, -e, - ions, iez, - ent) di belakang akar tersebut, dengan mudah kita dapat membuat bentuk subjonctif ini pada verba lain, kecuali untuk kata kerja : être, avoir, aller, faire, pouvoir, savoir, valoir dan vouloir. Karena verba-verba yang disebutkan terakhir ini merupakan présent du subjonctif yang tidak beraturan, sehingga perlu pembahasan secara khusus.

Di bawah ini beberapa perasaan yang harus kita buat dalam kalimat subjonctif.

v Jika dalam kalimat pokok terdapat verba yang menyatakan suatu keinginan (vouloir – mau; exiger – menuntut; désirer – menginginkan)

Contoh :

Je veux que vous travailler. - Saya mau kamu sekalian/anda bekerja.

On exige que nous partions. - Orang menuntut supaya kami berangkat.

v Suatu perasaan (craindre – takut; regretter – menyesal; être content – puas; c’est dommage – menyayangkan).

Contoh :

Elle craint que sa mere soit tombée malade.

(Dia takut sampai ibunya jatuh sakit).

C’est dommage qu’il ne fût pas venu.

(Sayang bila dia tidak datang).

v Sebuah keraguan atau ingkar (douter, nier).

Contoh :

Je doute qu’elle soit heureuse. - Saya ragu apakah dia berbahagia.

v Suatu keharusan atau ke (tidak) mungkinan (il faut, il est nécessaire, il est (im) possible).

Contoh :

Il était nécessaire qu’on eût plus d’argent.

(Adalah perlu bahwa orang memiliki uang lebih).

v Jika di antara induk kalimat dengan anak kalimat dipakai kata-kata sambung seperti: afin que, avant que, sans que.

Contoh :

Il travaille afin qu’il réussisse.

(Dia bekerja sampai dia berhasil (akan berhasil).

Nous venons avant que vous soyez parti.

(Kami datang sebelum anda berangkat).

Il partait sans que personne ne le vît.

(Dia berangkat tanpa seseorang melihatnya).

v Dalam anak kalimat sifat, jika anteseden[1] memenuhi persyaratan yang pasti.

Contoh :

Il n’y a personne qui puisse faire cela.

(Tidak seorang pun yang dapat mengerjakan itu).

Jakarta est la plus belle ville qu’il y ait dans notre pays.

(Jakarta adalah kota paling cantik yang ada di negara kita).

Waktu lampau belum selesai (l’imparfait)
Berdasarkan pembagian waktu yang telah kita lakukan dalam bab sebelumnya, maka pembahasan mengenai waktu akan kita mulai dengan waktu lampau. Imparfait yaitu waktu dimana perbuatan masih sedang dilakukan ditinjau dari waktu lampau. Dalam bahasa Inggris bentuk waktu seperti ini disebut Past tense atau The Imperfect. Bentuk ini menyatakan pula tindakan yang berulang. Untuk membuat bentuk imparfait dilakukan dengan cara menambah akhiran seperti je – ais; tu – ais; il/elle – ait; nous – ions; vous – iez; ils/elles – aient setelah akar kata kerja. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa imparfait digunakan untuk menyatakan:

· suatu situasi (une situation);
· sebuah kegiatan sedang berlangsung (dilaksanakan) waktu lalu (une action en train de s’accomplir);

· suatu kebiasaan (une habitude),

je donnais - aku memberi (kan)
tu donnais - kau memberi (kan)

il/elle donnait - dia (m)/dia (f) memberi (kan)

nous donnions - kami/kita memberi (kan)

vous donniez - kamu semua/kalian/Anda memberi (kan)

Penanda Tanganan Perjanjian Kerjasama IFI - Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia

Bapak Nur Syam, Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam, dan Bapak Bertrand de Hartingh, Direktur Insitut Prancis di Indonesia

Selasa, 4 Juni 2013. Institut Prancis di Indonesia (IFI) menandatangani perjanjian kerja sama yang pertama dengan Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. Bapak Bertrand de Hartingh, Direktur Insitut Prancis di Indonesia, dan Bapak Nur Syam, Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam, menyatakan keinginan kuat mereka untuk mengembangkan kerja sama yang solid antara kedua lembaga. Perjanjian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pendidikan terutama melalui pemberian beasiswa pendidikan di Prancis, serta pelaksanaan program pertukaran pelajar dan pengajar.

Program beasiswa gabungan antara IFI dan Kementerian Agama ini akan dimulai pada tahun ajaran 2013. Setelah seleksi kandidat yang ketat, mahasiswa terpilih akan belajar bahasa Prancis secara intensif dan mendapatkan beasiswa pendidikan untuk program master atau doktorat pada tahun ajaran 2014. Program ini adalah satu dari sekian banyak program kerja sama pendidikan dan universitas yang dikembangkan oleh IFI. Pada tahun 2013, IFI memberikan 300 beasiswa, tiga kali lipat lebih banyak daripada yang diberikan pada tahun sebelumnya. (FST)
